The weather station I am requesting will be placed in a central location outside the school building. The data that is collected will then be displayed on devices and tablets inside the classroom. This will provide real-time weather data specific to our location. Students will be able to see the weather tools and make conclusions about certain weather data that is collected. The use of these weather tools will close many gaps in student understanding. They will be able to see an anemometer spinning while feeling the wind that causes the rotation. They will know what 32 degrees Fahrenheit really feels like. I will use these tools in my science classroom to teach weather content standards in almost every grade level. Additionally, the other teachers in the school will have access to the collected weather data. This tool will benefit all the students in the school.
