My dance students at PS/MS 161 are focused on leadership, pride, creativity and discipline in the world of Dance. Students embark in studio intensive dance classes, where they get the opportunity to create choreography and team up with peers to create their own work as well as learn dance routines for school-wide performances and special events. I teach Dance at a Title I school where students receive free/reduced-priced lunch. Due to the lack of funds, students are expected to purchase or borrow dance attire to attend the class. In my classes, students are taught Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary and Ballet basics. The classes emphasis on discipline, technique and most importantly creativity. Students are expected to carry themselves and train like professionals-only thing missing is proper dance attire to help them build the confidence. These unitards will help my dancers with their alignments as we help align their futures. Hope you can help! Thank you.
