The Freshman and Sophomore classes will be organized into groups of two students that will be working together to complete this lab. This lab will be performed over three class periods with the first day being setup and external observation, the second and third day being for internal dissection. The students will be observing and removing all organs in order to observe their structure and will even be removing the stomach contents and cutting the heart in order to see the atriums and ventricle. The students will have the opportunity to perform a dissection, and for many, their first one. This will help them understand the concept of the interconnectedness of all life on Earth by allowing them to observe and manipulate organs and structures of these frogs that are present in nearly all other vertebrate organisms.
