This will make a HUGE difference in my students learning daily. Our school does not have an outdoor space for the children to play during recess. They do have access to a large indoor space, that is used for gym class. However, they do not have anything to play with during this time. The students usually just run around and scream in the gym instead of learning how to interact and play with other students. By providing balls, hula-hoops, jump ropes & puzzles for recess, our students will learn how to socialize, interact, and share with one another. Also, the leveled readers will be used for students who choose not to play at recess. This will reduce the amount of behavior issues that we see across our grade level. Children at this age need to develop these and practice social skills on a daily basis.
