Art has numerous benefits for emotional health and wellbeing. By meeting the emotional needs of my students, I hope they will be better equipped to manage and access their academics and engage with learning. All of the projects I have decided on will be integrated into their school so that the students will get the added bonus of feeling like contributing members to their smaller community and leave a lasting impression as they move on to middle school. Relationships are key to resiliency and by providing healing space, I hope these students will benefit from this experience well into their adult lives.

About my class
