Imagine sitting in an unconformable chair at a long training session. Can you focus? Probably not as well as you could if you were more confortable. Well that is what my students do all day, every day. They do their best to focus in a hard plastic chair and they are just 3rd graders. Flexible seating will not only provide an avenue for my students to constructively release their energy it will also help motivate them to stay on task and follow classroom expectations. Imagine a class of focused students working cooperatively on a book study while they bounce on their flexible seating. Flexible seating can also be used as a positive reinforcement for following classroom expectations. Flexible seating is a must in an early childhood classroom. These materials will help all of my students become more successful.
