My students love to do math and reading even though it is difficult for them. We work hard in our class to understand concepts that have already been taught to them many times. They do much better holding and moving things to understand math. Together we learn about measurement, multiplication, and fractions. Because of this, my students understand more clearly how numbers and math work in their lives. We work hard in our class to understand concepts that have already been taught to them many times. Some of these students stay with me for three years. The fraction tiles, math cubes, and boards will help them “touch” math. If you can feel it, move it, and see it, it becomes real, and they are inspired to do their best.
