Because I am a special education teacher that uses a push-in model for teaching (I go into different classrooms throughout the day to teach), I have a lot of places to go and a lot of materials to carry around. I teach about 9 different classes every day. Right now I use plastic tubs to carry all my materials, including small whiteboards I hold up when I don't have one on the wall to use. My aides also do the same thing for their classes. Having to carry our own materials means we are limited in our how we teach our students. Having carts to carry all of our manipulatives, worksheets, pencils, point cards, etc. will make it so we can bring everything we need to our classes, not just what we can carry around. Having whiteboards mounted on our carts will provide a space where we can conveniently model problems and reading when we don't have our own whiteboard in the classroom. Essentially, the traveling teacher kit will be complete!
