These books will help us to learn to empathize and sympathize with others who have different challenges, as well as teach us some self calming techniques. With the added anxiety that comes from being a refugee or homeless, these books will teach skills to help our students succeed. We have been working as a school on caring and building a community as we work on helping these students that are challenged work on becoming a part of our community. This will give us enough copies that we can have one available in the library for check-out, and some available for teachers to carry to their classrooms.
