Computers are essential in this world to teach students the basics in typing, research, graphing, presentations, and visual learning. It allows students to take their text book materials and apply it to real life situations while they are learning it. Studies show that students who are able to make a strong connection with the facts of their education to the real world application will retain the information longer and are more likely to apply it outside of the classroom. Even the basics like showing students how to balance a checkbook with excel is important for their future. We are not teaching students how to memorize anymore; we are teaching students how to become productive adults that can bring about change.

About my class
