I see hundreds of students a week, and they love when painting days come around. The thing they hate is when we have to find space for our paintings to dry! Because of limited space, some paintings go missing, don't dry quickly or evenly, and some paintings have even been ruined because they were left out in the open! A drying rack would allow my students the security of a safe, organized space for their paintings to dry quickly, and would result in many more smiling faces and taken home artwork! It would also allow us to use our counters and shelves for other things besides holding paintings!
