All of my students learn and remember best from interactive activities. My students with autism especially love to build things. I only have one small set of LEGO for one or two students to use. I feel this activity provides the opportunity for the kids to play and interact with peers and teachers properly. This helps them with verbal requesting and sharing during play and it also helps to build their self-esteem that they need. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student interacting with others, but you will also ultimately help to increase their social awareness. Students can build their community, learn to be more aware of their environment, and pretend play so they can understand and be more socially appropriate in all settings.
