These materials will make it possible to implement learning centers during my reading and math periods. I inherited a classroom that was practically empty and I have little to no manipulatives to supplement my partial set of reading, writing, and math curriculum (for some reason Special Education teachers never have a complete set of curriculum). I have two students in particular who will benefit most from these materials as they are still learning to read and developing basic number sense. The place value activity kit and the teaching place value activity center will help my students develop their understanding of place value and how it relates to mathematical operations.
