Learning by doing is a very effective and fun way to commit a task to memory. A microwave oven is a universal kitchen appliance that with proper teaching can be a real passport to independence. With these kitchen utensils, microwave, and dishes my students will be able to learn how to safely prepare meals, cook, and present their meals on dishes. With practice the students will be able to transfer this skill to their own homes and be able to safely cook for their families. A simple everyday kitchen appliance can be turned into a passport to food, family, and fun!
