We're constantly finding ways to improve our students' education and learning. However, there are very few times where we enhance their creative mindset. Music is a gift that everyone can relate to, both child and adult, alike. Within music, there lies rhythm. An every-changing concept if you may. I have noticed that the students I teach enjoy this ever-changing concept. More than music, rhythm is a tool that the kids use to create unity and a bonding sensation that very few other activities emulate. I want to use these materials to provide a platform for them to express themselves. What better platform than drums. Being part of a drumline will open so many doors: school spirit, teamwork, creative expression, entertainment. This may even well open the students' eyes on seeking an outlet when they need to get away from their current life.
