My project is to create a successful Makerspace in the classroom that provides students with self directed learning. STEAM Bin, engineering materials, consumable arts and craft materials, tools, digital devices, and robotics will allow for student choice. This space will provide open-ended exploration, mini-lessons, design challenges, and stations for students. I want to make a high emphasis on student choice, catering to multiple intelligences, and helping students find their strengths. Having this Makerspace will ensure that every student is given the chance to explore their passion! This will create learners using real world thinking, cross curricular connection, and a collaborative environment .
