If I had a computer that was light weight and easy to move around, notes to parents could be sent immediately and student progress could be monitored immediately. To help engage parents with their child and help instill the importance of learning from home I could send notes to them reporting their weaknesses and strengths from the small group. Sitting in small group I could also monitor the student's progress on the computer and reteach weak areas right then from my computer. Then students could move on once these skills were mastered.
