A chair, or the floor, are not viable options for students with such intricate minds and learning styles. Flexible seating would allow my students to truly learn in their most comfortable setting! "If they can't learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learn." My goal for every classroom I've taught in, is for my students to be comfortable in their own skin and in their learning. The sound of a chair sliding across the floor, or the feeling of a cool floor beneath them is enough to distract my students and distract them from their learning. My goal is for my students to be able to have more options for seating during a read aloud, group work and independent work! The Flex-Space Collaborative Floor Work Space bundle will help my students be successful with their flexible learning styles. We work in a variety of settings in the classroom (whole group, partnerships, independent) all the while ensuring that my students on the Autism spectrum are comfortable in all of these settings. Children with flexible learning styles should be able to learn flexibly in the classroom!
