Kindergarten is a very busy grade. Our activities require a lot of movement, group work, and close attention to directions. However, some of my friends are extremely energetic and fidgety. They constantly move around, play, and touch others. While thinking about what I could do to help my students prosper, I realized that flexible seating is what we need. The stools will give my students the sensory stimulation they need to stay focused and eager to learn. Th stools will be used as an alternative to the regular seats we have at our tables. The students will be able to request a stool when they are feeling fidgety.
