An Echo would provide much information, but my focus is on the read aloud opportunities for students. A student could listen to a book. Additionally, I could use it as part of library lessons. The possibilities are endless. The Echo could be part of a learning center with small groups or read to an entire class. An Echo in the library will give the technological ability to increase students’ interest in reading as well as vocabulary, reading comprehension and listening skills. An Echo cannot replace teachers or parents, but “Alexa” could read aloud to students when other options aren’t available.
