These tablets will allow the students to independently read at their own pace using specific tools/apps on them. They will be mostly used for center time and encouraged when a student is done with his/her work. In the 21st century, students today are most comfortable using technology, such as a tablet, to read and complete their work. As the students’ are start to use these tablets, they will enjoy the beginnings of reading books because they will be engaged while reading or learning the beginning steps of doing so. They will feel at ease knowing that they are not “forced” to complete reading a book.
