With these tools and manipulatives, my students will enhance their hands-on, collaborative learning. We will use these tools daily to explore, experiment, and learn in both Math and Language Arts. Students will be given the opportunity to apply what we are learning to their daily independent work time with these tools and in partnerships or groups in lieu of worksheets or individual assignments. Through the use of these tools, my students will cultivate a relationship-centered community in which they value each other and learn together. Statistics show that children learn best through play. The tools you provide our class will give my students this year and many years to come opportunities to not only learn, but create lifelong memories and skills.
