I am hoping to raise money for my students to have access to Amazon tablets in the classroom. My students have limited language but have the ability to explore and learn so much from technology. They are all drawn to the computers in the classroom and enjoy playing educational games as well as watching their favorite Go-Noodle videos. Having tablets in the classroom will allow my students to better participate in classroom lessons without depending so much on language which is a challenge. These children deserve to have the opportunity to learn the way that is most appropriate for them. Having this technology in the classroom means giving my students the ability to answer questions in a way they feel comfortable. It means allowing students to participate in games with one another forming those important social connections. Having these tablets is essential for my students' success not only in the classroom but in their everyday lives.
