Mini whiteboards are a great way to increase engagement in a lesson. They are also an awesome way to quickly get student feedback and check for understanding. My class sizes are often big which can present a challenge for me when doing comprehension checks. Mini whiteboards will help me to overcome this challenge. They will allow me to quickly assess who understands and who may need more help or practice just by scanning the room and looking at students' responses. I get immediate feedback and so know how to further direct the lesson. In my experience, whiteboards stimulate student learning and is a great way of keeping an entire class actively involved in a lesson. Students become more invested in activities when they are able to write or draw their answers on these erasable boards. These erasable boards will be used to play games, brainstorm, to do listen and draw/ write activities, check for understanding, and to review learning. Students will also use these to work collaboratively such as in 'think pair and share' activities, peer dictation or collaborative writing activities. I know my students will enjoy using them!
