The materials will make a difference in the daily routines in our Autistic Support classroom. Adding these supplemental tools to our learning environment will ensure student growth in academic and developmental areas. These materials will allow me to differentiate classroom centers to meet all of the educational levels of my students. The materials will also allow my students on the Autism spectrum to learn vital social and emotional skills for self-regulation and communication. This is especially important as it pertains to daily interactions with peers and adults. Having the sensory materials available in the classroom will provide my students with a way to calm themselves when they are overstimulated. I am so excited to make my classroom sensory friendly for all of my students.
