These books will enable my students to delve into deeper conversations with each other and feel connected to their books. When my kids see books that have a character that looks like them on the cover they are 100% more likely to pick that book up to read. Not only will they dive into reading it, but they will share it and have an amazing conversation with their peers! It is amazing to hear the conversations that occur and the deeper understanding the students have of each other. They learn to respect their differences and have fun learning about each other’s cultures and lives.
