I feel as though the lab coats will give them a real scientific experience. We tend to feel better, when we're dressed better. I believe that they would do better academically because they would be dressed for the part! When we watch the videos about science, the children have their lab coats and goggles on. We just finish a segment about safety in the lab, and i had to go to the 5th grade teacher, borrow a pair of goggles and let the students try them on two by two (Like Noah's Ark). I would like my students to have their own things to wear when we are doing our research in the classroom. I have a place to store the items for the students who will use them for years to come.
