Over the past 10 years, the only investment that our District was able to make related to technology at the elementary level was putting interactive Promethean boards in the classrooms. While this upgrade was fantastic and necessary for whole class instruction...it was expensive and left no funds for individual student interaction with technology. Your donation will not only invest in the future of the students currently in First Grade, but the numerous students in years to come that will walk through our classroom doors - the Future of the Mon Valley. I seek 4 iPad Minis to use in my classroom. My grade level peers are also setting up projects as well in the hopes of not only being able to use the iPads in our own classrooms, but to be able to share them for whole grade level activities. Since the tablets will be used by 6-7 year old children we are also in need of the proper accessories (protective cases, screen protectors, etc.)to ensure they will last! These tablets will allow our students to interact with apps and websites that can track their progress individually on specific Math and Language Arts skills. Meeting with academic success in the early grades sets the stage for a lifetime of learning. Please help us provide our students with the technology to use as the gateway to their future...our future.
