My students are middle school science scholars who are all on the path to graduate from high school and succeed in college. They have experienced many challenges in their young lives growing up in inner-city Los Angeles. However, they work incredibly hard in school and are determined to learn as much as possible. My students love science class. They would greatly benefit from experiential education opportunities in science, where they have a chance to actively participate in hands-on science activities.
