I have requested six traditional games of Jenga in order to use them as an educational resource for test reviews in high school history and government courses. In my classroom, I plan to have groups of 4 students per review team (will vary based on class size) and a total of 6 Jenga teams. Each Jenga game will have pieces that are numbered and correspond to review question numbers. Each game will be numbered with a color and the questions will be on the same corresponding color. Each review Jenga will have a topic and questions specific to that topic. Having 6 sets will allow for all students to review the entire curriculum of goals at the end of the semester. However, having 6 sets of Jenga will also allow for me to use them during each individual unit by changing the topic questions for each game and allowing all students to play the review game for each individual topic within the unit. The products I have selected will be used to engage students in a competitive manner in reviewing topics, promote the use of motor skills, encourage literacy and reading, and enhance the information in order to prepare students for high-stakes testing.
