Help me provide my students with things to help fulfill their sensory and learning needs! My students are very unique, intelligent, and the most energetic bunch you could ask for. Each of my students have unique characteristics that define who they are, and which gives them different capabilities and skills. This group of students are constantly on the move and interested in finding new things to explore. Our charter school has allowed us to open up a classroom to meet the specific needs of this group of children. My students will have the opportunity to be provided with the support, materials, and modifications they need to be successful in school. Each of my students has varying needs that have to be met individually such as the way they learn, coping skills , self help skills etc. The types of activities that my students enjoy are completing puzzles, playing , utilizing fidgets, learning activities on the computer, watching videos, and interactive learning. Flexible seating allows my children to choose how they want to sit while also keeping them engaged in activities and lessons, for example the wobble seats and balance ball seats allow students to move while remaining at the table. Keeping the students moving will decrease disruptions and allow for more instructional time. The bean bag chairs will be used in break and library areas which will allow students to take a cool down from academic time and to clear their minds. I also would like to provide the class with manipulative and fidgets that will allow them to remain seated and have something to occupy their time when their minds wonder. My students are more than the label that they are given and deserve an environment that will better assist their learning needs.
