These materials will help make a difference in my students' learning by providing them high quality hands-on mathematics, reading, writing, and social skills activities. My students come to me with different strengths and needs, and they are each at a different level of learning. My students all have an Individualized Education Program with a specific set of academic and social/behavior goals that we focus on. The specific math skills my students are working to achieve this year include mastery of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Their reading goals focus on increasing their fluency, phonics, and reading comprehension skills. Their writing goals target writing complete sentences and/or paragraphs with correct mechanics and conventions. Each week I also teach social skills classes to help my students develop positive peer relationships and classroom behavior skills. I chose each of these activities to help each one of my students meet their goals and build confidence in their ability to learn and be successful in school.
