I feel audiobooks benefit students' word exposure and improves vocabulary as well as learning expression of different characters and developing fluency. I want to include a listening center in our daily five reading station rotation. Students will have the opportunity to read along with stories and improve their reading levels. Having audio books in my classroom will also help my English language learners develop a sense of confidence and word recognition when speaking and reading on their own. Providing a diverse level of books can promote student learning at all levels. I want to enrich my reading program with these materials and having a listening center will do just that.
