In the classroom, for most beneficial learning we work in small groups based on students goals. A majority of the time we will work on the rug using clipboards. This can be distracting as students may lay down, play with objects found on the ground, or struggle with writing on the clipboard. A horseshoe table will allow all students to sit in a close proximity comfortably and focus on the task they are given without distractions. Keeping all students at a table with me facing them will also allow me to view each child's work easily without moving around them.
