A light table can be used to build many skills such as science, math, literacy, writing as well offering opportunities for discovery and just using imagination and creativity. The calming glow of the light table offers a place of learning that is inviting. Not only would a light table provide a great form of sensory input, it encourages children to remain engaged in academic tasks for longer periods of time. Some activities that can be used on a light table include constructing letters, counting objects, creating designs, art, building, and exploring. There are many accessories that can be used with the light table that add a special element to the learning experience.
