I am requesting alternate seating for my classroom. This will help my students greatly by not only having them more engaged by giving them an option of where to work best but mixing up their opportunities for learning. Flexible seating will help my students be able to rock, lean, stand, and sit whenever they need. This in turn keeps them more engaged and alert in the classroom. With flexible seating, students and teachers have better communication of what is happening in the classroom. I am requesting the wiggle stools for students who need that little bit of movement, I am requesting the bouncy bands for desks and chair because even for a student who doesn't struggle. Having that little bit of time to get out your restlessness helps. All of these items will help with the increase of blood flow for my students and help improve their concentration and increase their focus.
