Marching percussion is a huge element of percussion performance and many students find their passion in this area. This art form is incredibly precise and regimented and requires students to develop a myriad of skills to perform at the level of their peers. One of the main tools we use in this activity is a metronome to help ensure students stay together and hone their execution precision. The downside to these performance ensembles is their volume level is extremely loud and the metronome is even louder. These devices help provide students with the tools they need to do this at a level that is safe for their hearing.
