Life Skills students started a Coffee Cart to the school staff for a minimal cost to learn and practice functional academics (such as counting money and telling time). Students will use the coffee pot to make coffee as well as hot tea and hot chocolate. Also, my class will prep materials, take orders, and make all beverages using the cups, coffee, sugar and creamer. This coffee cart would provide a fun and educational hands on learning opportunity for all! My intend is for this project to address various students goals, such as speech and language, occupational, and physical therapy. Also, it gives my entire class an opportunity to interact with the entire school and learn valuable social skills along the way!
