My students need to have a way to communicate their wants and needs. They deserve the freedom of learning to communicate. iPads have communication apps that we can use. The students will be able to work on the iPads in Google Classroom in order to be prepared for a possible shut down again due to Covid. They can learn to communicate inside school and outside of school. Along with a diagnosis of Autism, I have students with significant behaviors, due to lack of communication skills and ability, and they will be able to earn iPad time as a reward for appropriate behavior at school.
