Every student has a different learning style in the classroom and my goal is to help them explore and engage with materials that will help them retain knowledge and increase their social learning skills. My students' interests are very important when it comes to what motivates them in the classroom to have a positive learning experience. Currently, my classroom library doesn't have a variety of leveled books that meet where students are in their reading. The first little reader books will provide my students who are developing early reading skills more at ease in learning to read. One book can change a student's perspective on reading when it becomes frustrating in identifying and understanding the text. Making sure that students have a positive first experience with various books is an essential component to building confidence and engagement while reading.
By donating to our project, you not only help increase student attention but create a fun and interactive learning environment.
The products that I have selected will help my students by allowing them to engage in kinesthetic learning. The math games and manipulatives will be used for hands on experiences during our math stations and groups with me. I have observed my students over several weeks and have learned that they love to create and interact with one another. I am looking forward to seeing how these materials will make learning enjoyable for my students to experiment with trial and error, learn from mistakes, face challenges, and understand material better.
