My students have been working since the beginning of the school year on launching a successful production of The Jungle Book, comprised of 35 performers and 17 art crew members who are creating sets and working backstage. This stage production will have a huge effect on these kids, not just in learning new things, but also in the sense of accomplishment and community that group music, theater and art projects instill in children. Even if they never do another show, this will teach them the reward of working hard toward a lofty goal and give them confidence to strive for and reach other goals throughout their lives.

About my class
