Reading opens the world to children----a world that has many opportunities and people that have made their dreams come true through hard work and perseverance. I want to share that world through reading and performing books through webex recordings. My students will be able to access these recordings online at their home whenever they want to hear my voice and hear a book that inspires them. I will include opportunities for students to share their thoughts or even participate in the book through call/response as I often did in the classroom. Imagine a child engaged in a new story that the student performs with a teacher in the comfort of home and family. I often like to include puppets, silly voices, sound effects, songs and movement in my story "performances." In distance learning even parents and the whole family can participate! These experiences make memories to last a lifetime.
