My students have special needs and engaging them in different learning activities is typically challenging. However, when technology is involved, unsurprisingly like any other child in today's world, they become a lot more motivated, willing to participate and engage in learning. Teaching my students basic computer skills, and using computers in all subject areas is one of my strategies I intend to use to increase my students' interest and ensure they are learning the best they can. Unfortunately, we only have one old computer in the classroom, which most of the times is too slow, causing more frustration and behavioral issues in my students. A new laptop would give my students the chance to work in small groups throughout the day increasing their participation in activities and ensuring their progress.
