The materials in my cart will be used as centers through out the school day. Centers helps the students learn new material through hands on experience while also being able to interact with their peers. The manipulative will be used during math to help the students practice counting out objects using one to one correspondence. Also these items will help teach the students how to sort, identify shapes, etc. The journals will be used to enhance the students handwriting capabilities. The use of the journals will help the students practice daily on writing specific letters and sight words to help prepare them for kindergarten along with future grade levels. The literacy activities will help the students practice rhyming words, sight words, letter recognition, etc.
