The classroom carpet is our "home base." We come together multiple times a day - as a school family, and gather on our carpet. It's where concepts are taught, games are played, and stories and songs are shared. This area is vital to creating a warm and welcoming classroom community. Unfortunately, the rug I currently have is very old and worn. It has several stains and has faded and dulled through its many years of use. A new rug would create an exciting and engaging place for our school family to come together - one with more space for their growing bodies. It would provide us with a more spacious, comfortable, and welcoming place to gather and learn together.
