I teach science in a high poverty alternative learning high school in the Delta area of Arkansas. The best way to describe my students are "diamonds in the rough!" They thrive when given the opportunity to apply their creative abilities to engaging hands-on science inquiry projects. What better way to develop critical thinking, analytical, and science process skills. Even though they often have huge odds to overcome in their lives, they never fail to truly amaze me with their talents!
