In this project I have selected a few materials that I have found are necessary and helpful. I am asking for privacy folders so each of my students feel they are showing their own knowledge and don't need to worry about others copying off of their papers. I'm also asking for Science journals. Our district does have a Science curriculum, however I would like to supplement what we already have and continue to build on my students ever expanding learning. My kids thrive and look forward to Science every day while valuing their own space. With the privacy folders each student has their own area to work. It also provides me with a sense of relief that I can assess what each student actually knows rather than worrying whose looking at whose paper. With these journals, my students can have a little bit of daily Science to satisfy their Science sweet tooth. With their journals, they can be worked on individually, in groups, or a whole class activity. This also helps me because it's less paper and my students can keep an individual copy so they can see how they've progressed in the Science world throughout the school year.
