I teach in an inner city school where 98% of the students are on free and reduced lunch. Most of the students come from bad neighborhoods over run by gangs and violence. They deserve every opportunity to succeed, and I am trying to give that to them. They need items that will help bring learning alive for them. They need something concrete to learn these essential skills that they are lacking.
