These books will give my students an opportunity to learn about social justice issues. These read aloud books will open discussion and dialogue about issues my students and other students are the country are facing. Using the book Who are Refugees and Migrants? my students will learn about the issues facing the separation of cultures and people. While reading I Dissent, my students can learn about the impact of Ruth Bader Ginsburg as a Supreme Court Justice, and how to disagree with inequality. Because I will be able to teach my students about homelessness while reading A Shelter in Our Car. Through this inspirational books, my students will learn a growth mindset and how to succeed through struggles and adversity.
