My classroom is bustling with positive energy and these materials will help with the organization and flow of the space. The paper organizer will be used for student mailboxes, which is an important and frequently used tool in the classroom. Currently, we use mailboxes made of cardboard, which are in a state of disrepair. I have used several rolls of duct in an effort to fix them, but they are truly on their last leg! The new "mailboxes" requested are made of a much more durable material and would last for several years. Because of the various needs and abilities of my students, creating a differentiated and student centered environment with flexible seating is crucial. Flexible seating allows students to quickly pair up or work in small groups, without moving their heavy desks and chairs. Additionally, children need to move and the standing desk requested allows active children to stand rather than sit while working. Both the lightweight stools and the standing desk requested would greatly help in making flexible seating in my classroom a reality.
